Saturday 2nd July 2011
Artists: Jo Blake, Greg Cave and Nick Ellison at Lyveden New Bield Time: 7-9pm.
Cost: £5 including hot chocolate and cake.
An evening around a camp fire in Fermyn Woods of stories told and newly created by Jo Blake that are connected to music, BB, the natural world and conservation. Woven between and through the stories will be traditional folk tunes collected by BB's father, Walter Watkins-Pitchford, along with contemporary compositions inspired by BB and the Northamptonshire landscape. The songs and tunes will be performed by Gregg Cave and Nick Ellison (on fiddle).
The evening will give the audience a rare, enchanting experience of story and song in the woods, by the fire, that pays homage to the rich local environment, encouraging greater connection with it. Meet in Lyveden New Bield car park and please bring rugs and chairs.
